VRT journalist Steven Rombaut provides daily interpretation behind the economic news. His voice is certainly not unfamiliar to Radio 1 listeners. Until 2012 Steven was a general reporter for 'Het Journaal' and since 2012 he follows the financial-economic news for the VRT radio news. Together with colleague Michaël Van Droogenbroeck, he goes deeper into the economic news on a weekly basis in 'De Vrije Markt' (every Saturday on één).

Michaël and Steven stand out because of their calm and thoughtful style. They combine a youthful enthusiasm with a large dossier knowledge. Making difficult subjects understandable is one of their strong points.
